A house is the part of the chart that answers for one area of life: money, relationships, work, health. Below you get the sign and the house of each of the nine planets in your chart — on the Vedic system, free and with no account.
For each of the nine planets: its sign, its house, and a short note on what that house is about. Plus the rising sign, which is where the count of houses starts. The maths is done by the Swiss Ephemeris astronomical library on the Vedic, sidereal system — from where the stars actually are, not from an approximate formula.
Houses are counted from the rising sign, and that changes roughly every two hours, going the full circle in a day. Checked on a single date: for someone born on 15 June, a birth time of 06:00 puts the Moon in house 1, 12:00 puts it in house 11, 18:00 in house 9, and 00:00 in house 7. The sign stays the same throughout. So without an exact time we show no houses at all: an invented number is worse than an honest "we don't know".
The signs still work out — over one day the planets move too little to change sign. The Moon is the exception: it crosses a sign in about two and a half days and changes sign on nearly half of all dates. If yours is one of those, the calculation says so in its own line rather than guessing. A time of birth is usually on the birth certificate; if there is none at all, the app has a separate process that narrows the time down from the events of your life.
The starting point of the zodiac. Western astrology counts from the spring equinox, Vedic astrology from where the stars actually are, and over two thousand years the two have drifted about twenty-four degrees apart. That is why both the sign and the house of a planet in a Vedic chart often differ from what a Western horoscope showed you. What runs here is the Vedic system.
